Pros
As one of the major CROs in the pharmaceutical industry, Catalent has a broad base of services they offer, and as such, serves as a great place to get your foot in the door in the industry and learn the basics and the industry. Most people are eager to help teach. Equipment (for the most part) is well maintained. Opportunities for advancement exist if you're one of the few that can tolerate high-stress environments while producing high quality work. Vacation policy is generous to combat the much lower than industry average pay. Once you've been here about 2-3 years, do your best to get out and go find a different company to work for where you can use your talents to get a better work environment and paycheck (seriously).
Cons
The company views employees simply as revenue generators. They're termed as "head-count" and financial performance is scrutinized on a daily basis. There is minimal meaningful appreciation given to employees from anyone higher than direct supervisors. Expectations are that people shouldn't ever make mistakes, and unnecessary time is spent tracking and root causing *most* mistakes which are typically of the brain fart variety. Red-tape abounds, making many simple tasks take much longer than necessary. Safety department was over-bearing to point of being counter-productive while not really providing any additional improvement.
