Pros
There is work available here
Cons
I was hired as the Site EHS Lead to support one unit but was asked to manage nine units, significantly increasing my responsibilities. I requested a title and compensation adjustment to reflect this expanded role, but both requests were denied. Six months later, after continuing to perform duties previously handled by three people, I made another request, which was also denied. I was informed a promotion might be considered in three years. My manager stated that due to my salary-exempt status, I would no longer be working 40 hours but would be expected to work 60 hours per week. Within nine months, at least five EHS staff members left the company, and a significant number of retirements have led to substantial knowledge loss and disorganization across teams. The DR and Consumables teams at the site level are composed of dedicated and talented individuals, but the organization faces challenges, including a pay freeze, no backfilling of vacant positions, and increased workloads due to outsourcing in manufacturing.
