Pros
As a freelance editor, I spend a long time on my own so this is a great way to speak to other human beings. It's totally flexible so you can pick your own hours and work when you are free. It's student-driven and Cambly provides teaching materials, so you don't need to plan lessons.
Cons
You are only paid for the minutes you are physically on a call, rather than on the clock, so a quiet day can be very frustrating if you've not been able to get the priority hours. Being online doesn't guarantee you will get calls. You only get a 5-minute break per hour even though you only get paid for the call minutes and you have to answer every PH call no matter what length it is. Also, be aware that adults often sign up and then put their kids on even though Cambly has a kids' platform.
