Pros

If you are reading this then you are considering working for Cambly... I have been teaching through them for approximately a year now. I teach from home on a full time basis. I absolutely adore working for them! Yes Cambly has a few hiccups every now and then as in systems fail or students complain, but we have that all over the world! I have only had great experiences on Cambly and I meet the most incredible people on a daily basis. I honestly would never want to work for a boss again! We receive our salary promptly on a weekly basis. The support team and technical team have been awesome in assisting (I have only had a problem once). Their library and teaching materials are constantly updated so you always have updated news to discuss with your students. I had to take a 4 week break due to personal reasons and I was still able to simply log online and teach! No questions asked! I work my own hours and determine my own salary. Each one needs to decide for themselves, I am where I want to be as far as work is concerned. I am a very happy camper :-) Thank you Cambly. You guys rock!

Cons

Absolutely NONE!!! I am incredibly happy with Cambly!

Pros

Very flexible schedule (you create your own), can easily cancel classes without too much of a penalty (make every student that you like a "regular" student so that if you get penalized...only regulars can book you...you have a huge pool of regulars), Cambly provides lessons, you can use almost any website as long as you don't need to share login information, it's fun and easy, many students become like friends, you can learn about different countries, cultures, and languages

Cons

The pay. It has never increased in the 14 years that Cambly has been in business. They are starting to offer a new program called "Cambly Pro" where you can make $15 an hour, but you have to apply to be a tutor for it and you could be denied. You have to have a 99% rating for 3 months to even be considered. If, like me, you are open to all students (and not just your regular students that you have become friends with), your rating can vary widely. No matter how good of a tutor you are, you will not be everyone's cup of tea. Also, Cambly does not allow tutors to teach in some states in the U.S. due to labor laws.
