Pros
Every now and then you meet a good student that regualry books classes with you.
Cons
Thier rating system is not accurate nor truthful. I straight up ask all of my students (who sing my praises) about the ratings they give me. They all say how much they love me as a teacher, and all let me know that they always leave me a 5 rating. Yet, as others have posted, my rating always goes down, and you are basically blocked from getting any more classes. I've worked here for years (unfortunately). Whenever you ask about ratings they give you the same old spiel ... "open more class times" bla bla bla basically telling you to spread yourself thinner to receive less. They even supposedly take off your lowest rating, yet even with all of my students telling me they left 5's (and I know they did bc they have been my regulars for years) , my rating goes down more and more each week. Also, you are basically cut off from classes if your rating is below a 97% which is basically not possible to acheive or keep. It's been beyond frustrating to not be able to make money from your job, and to continue to get the same generic answer to give more of yourself and still receive nothing from Cambly. MANY of my students could never even find a way to leave a rating, and when I contacted Cambly about it MANY MANY MANY MANY times, they still give a robotic response that doesn't pertain to the issue. It seems their business isn't doing well and that doesn't surprise me at all. Karma will previal for having utterly no respect or support for teachers. We are disposable to them, which is nothing new. I've had a student recently begging me to have classes with them. I accepted all of their class requests, and then they all disappeared. I believe Cambly cancels them and tells the student that I am no longer available and blocks the student from messaging me or receiving messages from me. I even emailed Shamir Shariff CEO about the ratings bc there is absolutely no way possible that they are legit and he actually answered me, to my surprise. YET, the incompetent teacher support team told me yet again "there is no problem with their rating system" (I sent them the same email as the one I sent to Sameer). The complete moronic "solution" that Sameer came up with was to change the rating from a decimal to a percent! Newsflash ! This fixed nothing !
