Pros
The only good thing was my co-workers. We were around the same age so we got along great. The management didnt like that at all and tried to cause problems between us. CVS taught me how to deal with difficult and rude people ; It also made me more comfortable talking with strangers.
Cons
My ex-boss started me off with minimum wage and told me not to disclose my wage to any of my employees. Turns out she was paying ME more then them and they were there months and even years before me! The hours were crazy and I did more work than what i was getting paid for. There were days management made us clock out and work off the clock, afterhours. The supervisor was horrible! If i needed change or a customer had a complaint, not only would she have an attitude with me, she would sometimes take it out on the customer. The management always made me the only cashier ope, which caused a great deal of stress on my end as well as a long line of angry, impatient arrogant customers. The employees were fine, although there was DEFINITELY favoritism showed between the managers and associates. The raises are a JOKE ; i started off with 7.5O and was there for a good year an d a half with still no raise. I told my boss at the time i was about to leave to concentrate on school, and she thought she could swindle me with a $O.15 raise. . . .i left and never looked back. Overall, if your a student in High School Or College and want some extra cash in your pockets, CVS is for you. If your someone who wants to advance in this company, then be prepared to spend the next 8-1O years to even be promoted to Supervisor.
