Pros

Some really cool support staff, clean office, learn lots of skills, good for resume

Cons

This is an environment that lacks any form of cultivated trust amongst the team you work for, between other teams, and with management - makes for a very isolating experience. It is a gamble which team you end up on and depending on the team you are on will vary in compensation and the bonus structure agreed upon. I would recommend not taking a role here if there is no bonus structure in place ( preferably either per deal or mid-year set-up). The brokers have a reputation for being greedy, condescending, aggressive, demanding, expect you to read minds, expect you to perform on things you were not trained on, and expect you to drop everything for them for things that are not actually urgent. Promises will be made to retain you without any follow-through or course of action. Juniors get led into doing things for the brokers (with promises of opportunities) and end up getting screwed over in the end. Management can’t actually do much if you go to complain as the brokers are their source of income. If you are looking to start your career in real estate or commercial real estate, you can get further ahead somewhere else faster and likely without sacrificing your mental and emotional stability.

Pros

The company has a great mentor program. You will meet colleagues who do amazing things like write books, receive leadership awards, and write checks to nonprofits that really need the help.

Cons

I really have no complaints. I am still in contact with many of my colleagues there.

Pros

Honestly? Not much. The vision insurance was decent, I guess. Truthfully though, there wasn't much.

Cons

Management's refusal to allow employees freedom. I routinely got praise from the client and hit the maximum score on my goals. If things weren't done "by the book", they were wrong. The health insurance was awful. Going to self-employment, one of the things that you hear is that you're going to pay a lot for health insurance. However, I'm actually paying LESS than when I worked for CBRE. When you work for CBRE, don't consider job security something that you're going to have. I saw two employees with 15+ years for the company get laid off, with zero severance and no option to transfer elsewhere, unless they wanted to uproot their families and move states for more work and a pay cut. This is the worst company that I've ever had the displeasure to work for. If you have literally any other option of employment, please consider doing that.
