Additionally, the practices surrounding managerial hiring are concerning. Public advertisements suggest external candidates are considered for management roles, yet there seems to be a strong internal promotion policy. This contradicts assurances made during my interview, where I was led to believe that opportunities for advancement to management or team lead positions were available even for new hires. In practice, however, as a regular crew member, I found these opportunities to be non-existent. No training or guidance towards promotion was provided, and my shifts were frequently cut short, further diminishing any prospects for advancement. Overall, while there is potential for improvement in staff treatment by management and team leads, the current state of affairs could benefit significantly from more equitable and transparent practices.
