Pros

benefit plan hiring bonus of 750 if you successfully pass 2 weeks training and if you are hired at the end. training is paid if you are hired, not paid if you are not. need class 3 driver licence to get considered

Cons

does not pay you back for the fees associated with applying at bsp for the special work study permit for training. does not pay you back for costs associated with getting a PPA and driver licence since it's a job requirement to even apply. you need a full licence to work full time there. starting pay is less than 26$ for a job that has real danger while other companies in same field may pay substantially higher. even a licenced class 3 driver gets paid substantially higher with no physical danger involved. pay goes up by 0.50 to 1$ per year for the position. a high turnover rate will do a full medical exam on you before hiring. the position of armed guard and driver of armored vehicle requires a class 3 minimum licence or higher job is exclusively night shift you are on call for 7 days/ week

Pros

A fast paced and interesting industry

Cons

Leadership above branch level is laughably out of touch with front-line operations, existing in a corporate bubble full of backbiting and office politics. Due to this, senior leaders push processes, tools, and systems that are woefully inadequate and unfit for purpose onto the branches. They then place blame on branch-level leaders and employees when they inevitable fail in spectacular fashion. Facilities and equipment are worn threadbare and are, frankly, unsafe. Senior leadership postures like it cares about engagement and safety, but every single bit of focus is on cutting jobs and costs, often in ways that are dishonest, unsafe, and unethical. Who we can fire next is a daily topic of conversation. Support systems and training are practically non-existant. You will have zero work/life balance and there is no opportunity for progression. Mass layoffs will occur nearly every quarter. Communication and coordination are non-existent.
