Pros
I worked at BSA for 3 years. The NY regional team, under Mrs. Penny Swift's leadership was awesome!!!!!!! We were a family and with the ups and downs, the multiple projects and the everyday craziness at the end of the day, I went home happy. I was confident that we were working for the children, we were trying to improve our process to become more successful and a better environment for children. It was not easy, some teaching staff might disagree but with all the challenges we were facing we were headed the right direction.
Cons
I worked long hours and as a salary employee I didn't receive OT pay, I asked a few times for pay raise but they were denied, however, I believed the previous regional team, under Penny Swift's leadership was driven to make a positive change. However, once Mr. Handler took over NY everything changed, he constantly yelled at the staff, believed that everything was his way and if didn't work then we could back to what was proven to work. He is very nasty and you could tell things changed when great employees, not only from NY but corporate started resigning. All Mr. Handler care is about the money, not the children nor the staff.
