The Executive Director of Research Integrity (IBC, COI, IACUC) is a micromanaging nightmare. She doesn't know about half of the stuff she is talking about and makes decisions on what she thinks is best. On many occasions what she has thought was best turned out to be the wrong decision and instead of her taking the blame she projects it onto others in her office. Despite several complaints made against her, the University has done nothing. Since she started 3 years ago her entire staff of 10 employees has turned over twice. This is an office that was very highly respected in the Boston area and had several long term (more than 5 years service) employees. Management always plays favorites and doesn't always hire the best candidate. Even after 20 years of valuable service for the School of Medicine your opinion doesn't matter.
