Pros

-Good hours for PTAM. At least 18-25 hours a week. -Schedule flexibility is great, never been declined a requested day off. -One of the better stores to work in. Spacious sales floor and stockroom, dedicated break room, employee only bathrooms, and workstations are kept tidy. - Work expectations were sufficient, so long as you can multitask. - Sells fun and interesting products, learned a lot in my tenure here. - Always something to do.

Cons

-No benefits for PTAM. Full duties of a normal manager, but keep you just shy of 30 hours to avoid giving benefits. - Bad handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cashiers were expected to act as door guards and confront mask-less individuals on top of their already expanded duties, i.e sanitizing, keeping count of customers in the store, and performing "suspicious individual" call-outs for the sales team. Often faced hostility from guests in this position. - Strict No Overtime policy, sales/cashier positions get significantly less scheduled hours. - Management is very hierarchical in terms of schedule treatment. The store manager can and will schedule you around their wants, such as making you close and open within ~8 hours on "truck" days. - Poor treatment of younger employees by senior management. Being called "mopey" and "problematic" if you don't meet appearance standards, or greet them with enthusiasm. HR and Tech support often seem annoyed when given problems to solve. - Clientele are on the older side, therefore facing difficult customers happened more often here. - Lots of homeless in the area attempting to steal. You will often have to drop what you are doing to monitor a suspected individual, cutting into your workload.

Pros

Most employees were really fun to work with, life/work balance was great, taught me good life skills, good first job for work experience.

Cons

Barely got scheduled (pretty sure my location was way over employed), occasional rude and entitled costumers (especially during the holidays), could get very slow and boring at times, sketchy area, overal, not a great job if you're looking for something that pays well.
