Like every Series A company, you have to work hard and play hard, but it is just VERY toxic at Belong.
Senior leadership continuously gaslight their employees and give "motivational" speeches in meetings to try to encourage them, but it's just degrading most of the time. They normalize toxic culture by telling their employees they need to work harder rather than fix the problems.
There is no work-life balance. You're expected to be online 24/7, even on the weekends and VACATION. Burn out here is REAL.
False career advancement and growth. They hire people for one role and then assigned tasks for a completely different role once they start. It sets everyone up for failure - this is a result of them announcing that they have "mutually" parted ways with people based on performance. At least once a week, someone is let go base on "performance," and it's always "mutual."
All of the hard work that their employees do to run this company are unappreciated. Leadership fails to listen to any feedback and cuts anyone they think doesn't "fit" into the company or vision.
Public slack call outs are normalized here. When you receive a bad CSAT or review from a customer, you're publicly called out. You always have to be ready to explain yourself. Senior leadership doesn't care if you're right or wrong. You NEED to get it right.
