Pros

Great stepping stone into the industry

Cons

Cronyism and nepotism is as equal a problem as the male dominated departments the higher up the company you go. Towards the end of my role I found out the female colleagues with at least 5 year experience were paid just 3k more than male graduate with no previous experience whereas males with 5 years of experience obtained the highest end of the pay band making it a 12k difference in comparison to their female colleagues. When I pointed this out nothing was done. Management is really incompetent in medical information. No point trying to apply for roles above you unless you are friends with the hiring manager, but thankfully those idiots have left already. Hope this place changes in terms of equal opportunities. Also the pay is a lot lower than other companies

Pros

Better pay than other companies My team - full of hardworking and knowledgable individuals.

Cons

Leadership/Management - can be micromanaging at times and not a lot of guidance/resources being provided. Projects can change swiftly at Bayer, and most of the times there's no background context given. Work/life balance - asked to be "flexible" with schedule for last-minute requests, then criticized for having life/responsibilities outside of work. Also, these last minute requests reflect poor planning on management. Lack of team morale - seems like it's all work and not a lot of play. Burnout culture and not a lot of incentives to perform better.
