Pros

Discount, first dibs on all the goodies when theyre marked down! mainly friendly customers that like to chat it up! You definetly learn alot about bein in a fast pace enviroment thats totally different from dealing with clothes! my mgr was very encouraging. Thank god the "mean girls' that were asst mgrs b4 were placed elsewhere, it made the store more friendly.

Cons

Call in's before and after your shift! its almost impossible to plan things around those! even if youre not scheduled for an actual shift you may have to call in an hour before to see if they "need" you(holidays u will clean up on hours!). i.e you have a call in from 12-4 that means u have to call at 11am to see if they need you at 12pm! or if yoiur shift is over u may have a 3-4hr call in after, so if u thought you were off at 3pm and your call in is 3pm-6pm, your stuck there if they need you! crazy!! especially if u don drive or have a life outside work!! they pay isnt enough for the work and lack of hours they tend to give you. A few mgrs can be fickle,and play favortism but again it depends on your team. Id say do it as a seasonal job or fressh outta high school dont wanna be bored job. But unless your top mgmt dont count on it as a career!

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
