Pros
Already at the store to pick up my items during sales. Loved getting to know the customers.
Cons
Low pay. I only got a "raise" after a year because minimum wage increased. Mind you I have experience in retail and still only got minimum. They work you to death pushing product, baskets, demos, purchase with purchase, loyalty info, etc on everyone while managers hang out. I couldn't even get a sip of water for hours. I'd have to pack lozenges just to be able to keep talking. The workload is very uneven between managers and usually one sales employee who is doing it all..selling, register, and bopis. Breaks are hit or miss..usually miss so if you like working 4.5+ hours hustling with no break this is for you. Managers like to micromanage and always assume you are doing something you're not supposed to be. Always asking why you are here, where are you going, what are you doing. Unprofessional environment. No one is introduced, interviews are done on the floor in front of customers as well as reviews. Store goals and focus is also done right on the floor next to customers. It's embarrassing how unprofessional they are. They scream in your headset when the hour is almost up to get everyone to the cash wrap to check out so they can make their hour when you're trying to sell or answer a customer's questions. No one tells you what is going on in the store and one person says to do it this way, another says you're supposed to do it this way...everyone is doing it differently depending on what manager told them what. It's a hot mess. Their selling strategy is horrible and scares away quieter, softer customers who don't want to feel like they are at a carnival. Never enough hours. They are always hiring and only give you under 10/week. It isn't enough to get to know the new products or where they moved the old ones.
