Pros

- Livable Wage - Solid Benefits - Responsive Leadership (for the most part) - Engaging Projects

Cons

I started at Baker Tilly US in August and as of October I have been bullied and harassed by my Coach. Personally, I'm not the kind of person that complains too much at a job because I truly believe that some jobs are just a means of survival and don't warrant excessive energy or effort. The meetings between my coach and I have slowly gone from goal and aspiration related to being short and redundant. According to my coach, team members are addressing her with concerns about me and work. She has not one time expressed these concerns in our meeting but is admit about addressing them when I either make small mistakes or neglect to inform her of work life details. A major issue for us has been that I do not have many billable hours and I usually code most of time as study time for my certification exam and non-charge miscellaneous time. For context, Operations is in charge of assigning work or you as an employee can reach out to pillar leaders for additional work opportunities. I have collected over 50 screenshots of instances of my coach accusing me or lying about assignment completions and falsifying my timecard. As well as my communications with pillar leaders and even principals in the firm asking for additional work and have been met with the same response "It's slow on my end too." or "I don't have much for you to do, try asking [some other team member]." I'm currently in the process of securing a new job in a different field and am willing to take a pay cut in order to join a team in a career that encourages growth and stimulation and has sufficient work for team members to complete. I also feel that if layoffs were to ever come to BT, due to not having sufficient chargeable work, I would be the first to get a pink slip. I originally thought that maybe my experience of having nothing to do for large parts of the day was exclusive. However, I've spoken with other newer members of the firm that have similar experiences of not having sufficient work throughout the day. As far as my relationship with BT and my coach, I truly believe that BT is a great place to begin a career. However, there are people amongst the firm that stress the billable hours policy of the firm and don't offer sufficient work plans to ensure that all team members are fully compliant. As for my coach, I'll update this comment later and let y'all know fingers crossed.

Pros

Great people to work with and office is awesome

Cons

Baker Tilly continuing to gobble up small firms has shifted the company culture. Not the same BT it once was when I started 3 years ago
