      Pros

      You are an individual rather than a number, cosy, flexible - strong regional presence. Very nice bunch, the associates and support staff.

      Cons

      Politics and in-fighting. Fragmented profit-centres means: (i) offices compete rather than cooperate with one another, (ii) mediocrity thrives due to politics - and competence suffers. Also, limited career progression.
