Pros
Ability to sell over 100 brands of apparel, uniforms, equipment, branding, etc. Some territories have great management that will guide you and help grow your business. Company is recognized across the industry as a leader by coaches and vendor partners Fairly easy to get a sale if you're in an established market Company is introducing a ton of technology to help differentiate and streamline the sales process from competition (I see as a pro) The work life balance is up to you, if you want to work from home 4 out of 5 days you can do so.
Cons
School agreements for Nike / UA deals guarantee sales BUT the schools are given 'comp' dollars to spend on apparel and uniforms. You don't make a dime off those orders yet you have to fulfill all needs of the project. Personally fulfilled $150k+ in orders for schools. In addition, some agreements are so heavily 'negotiated' by districts that even when you do sell uniforms, some orders are almost half off AND buy one get one. If you're a Field Sales Pro, the only way you can move up financially is by selling over $1 million+ or someone finally retires and you can move up into management.
