Pros
The Company itself has a great corporate culture and values (diversity and inclusion board, programs to encourage females in sports etc...). The perks like discounts on products and access to brands are excellent. Great Work/Life Balance.
Cons
Paid considerably less than the field. Your sales number is based on accounts assigned to you that could be moved from you at any time without your number being adjusted. You might get accounts assigned to your number that used to be assigned to the field, that come to you with no contact info. The field sales pros do this on purpose so you can't contact the customer, because even though it is your account, if you have not contacted the customer yet, they can continue to sell to that customer without repercussions. Taking away sales that could go to your number. Imagine losing your best account that you developed from new business, and getting a one-off sale from the field with no contact information. The CRM and Ordering System are not cleaned up. Field Sales Pros will hide sales from your accounts into other accounts and it is really difficult to find. Even if you do find it, more often than not the field sales pro is just told to not do it again, and that sale is not moved to you. If you are unhappy with the unfairness, you are told that you have plenty of accounts and to go sell to another account.
