Pros

Technically very strong. They have experts for almost everything technical niche, but they are mostly based in headquarters in Germany. As part of the world's largest chemical company, there are many career opportunities outside of the catalyst division.

Cons

BASF struggles with poor customer service and account managers. They fail to develop the close personal relationships that are key in any business. Customer service is hindered by complex systems which make delivery of products painfully slow. The influence of the German culture is very apparent. This can be both good and bad.

Pros

Great benefits, hybrid & remote roles, great colleagues to work with. Great vacation /time off. Helpful colleagues

Cons

Reorganizations (roughly 3 years), IT roles dwindling in North America(moving to India), teams can get very silo-ed, “not my role” = not helping you (when you are looking for answers/assistance), currently seeing a lot of movement out of New Jersey (roles moving to other parts of the country), some organizational charts can be confusing, huge organization(can be difficult at times pinpointing the exact team you may need to work with)
