Pros

Work / Life balance Some really intelligent amazing people. Interesting product Great customers Great Workplace team Amazing office Incredible regional (field sales) team. Only real sales people. Quality benefits and healthcare insurance Employee Stock Purchase Plan Solid CEO and corporate team.

Cons

Zero integrity. A lot of people telling stories (lies) about their deals. Managers teaching subordinates how to play games to get ahead. Colleagues baiting each other into HR nightmares. Zero quality mentorship. Just rhetoric and psychobabble they see online. Poor training. Politics determine promotions. Denver leader unaccountable and does not lead by example. Meetings for the sake of meetings that add zero value to the company. Too much forecasting. Attendance meetings and childish behavior everywhere. Bloated management justifying jobs by setting internal meetings and spin circles without ever improving productivity. Alcoholic events. Intolerant of all religions. Very focused on Catholicism and Christianity. Bloated account teams providing zero value to the customer. Dishonest sales tactics. Laying large groups of people with no warning. Constantly see double standards. In office days are spent coffee badging and sharing personal romantic conquests. No accountability and commissions fraud. Slowly moving to outsource as much as possible to low income countries. Pay is diluted by growing account teams. Automated paid for marketing leads that waste time and money. Meritless promotions. Sexual harassments not equally judged. (double standards) Cost cutting everywhere. Zero security in positions. Treat their customers at beta testers. Spam sales tactics and the "numbers game". Horrible disorganized customer data and they have no idea how to effectively utilize CRM to their advantage. Channel conflict with partners pushing competitors products. Behind on industry advancements. Recording customer and employee meetings and calls. Many of the managers their got their positions by lying about their contributions to sales and revenue. Shady, borderline unethical, sales behavior. Personal ideologies affecting growth potential.

Pros

The individual contributors, your peers you work with day in and day out are fantastic people! At the IC level, for the most part, it feels like everyone is in the fight together. The work/life balance is good depending on which business unit/team you're aligned with. The benefits are pretty solid, especially the 6 week sabbatical.

Cons

Autodesk moves at the pace of a snail, very slow to take action on anything. Selling is very difficult with all the undocumented approvals, processes, red tape and very few people are willing to actually help! Leadership doesn't care about the people their decisions impact. Feedback is rarely listened to and acted upon. Pay is terrible compared to competitors in this space. Autodesk has embraced a ton of change over the last few years with new marketing, sales and IT leadership and it shows. They are not shy in showing their desire to be the next Oracle at the expense of their people. They are constantly changing tools, processes, people, roles, you name it so you feel like you're under water constantly. Lipstick on a pig.
