Pros

- Overall good culture, great health benefits, good parties celebrating New Years, Christmas, Diwali, regular potlucks. - Sales management invested in sales training, great CRM and other applications to make selling easier. Always looking to add sophisticated tools to aid our work. - Sales leaders like managers and Director are easy to approach, colleagues are good.

Cons

- Overall messy structure (no doubt it has gotten better but still a long way to go) - No consistency across different countries within the region on targets. Don't make sense. Similar targets are given to all sales employees handling different regions and countries. - No work from home- not cool as team was told that work from home is possible before joining and flexibility was promoted. - Sales floor can feel like a call centre, call volume thoroughly tracked. - Yearly layoffs and reorganizations. - Constant fear that job wont be there if team doesn't perform. - Feels political- leaders from other team not happy with inside sales start up. (Kudos to inside sales leaders for rising against the bad sentiments though!) - Inside sales team is a good place to be but please speak to others before joining so you know what to expect in the country and region you are selling into. Some regions have a bad fate as compared to others.

Pros

The individual contributors, your peers you work with day in and day out are fantastic people! At the IC level, for the most part, it feels like everyone is in the fight together. The work/life balance is good depending on which business unit/team you're aligned with. The benefits are pretty solid, especially the 6 week sabbatical.

Cons

Autodesk moves at the pace of a snail, very slow to take action on anything. Selling is very difficult with all the undocumented approvals, processes, red tape and very few people are willing to actually help! Leadership doesn't care about the people their decisions impact. Feedback is rarely listened to and acted upon. Pay is terrible compared to competitors in this space. Autodesk has embraced a ton of change over the last few years with new marketing, sales and IT leadership and it shows. They are not shy in showing their desire to be the next Oracle at the expense of their people. They are constantly changing tools, processes, people, roles, you name it so you feel like you're under water constantly. Lipstick on a pig.
