Pros
The remote nature of the job allows a lot of flexibility, where employees can work from different parts of the world, move to different countries, and travel without having to use PTO. Colleagues are very helpful with exploring and learning new skills or areas of interest, and there are many social channels designed to provide support and answer questions about tools like Tableau. "Coffee Hours" and in-person meet-ups are encouraged to provide a greater sense of community and break down the isolation of remote work.
Cons
The organization had a period of exponential growth and a high turnover of senior management, which led to a lack of clarity around the organization's structure and teams' roles. There is also a high workload that can lead to very long working hours, especially with the added difficulty of coordinating with colleagues across time zones.
