Pros
Flexible work schedule if you are not in the field, Medical is offered, but expensive even with company contribution, Dental is almost worthless, Vision is good, 401K is offered, Company stock offered at 15% discount, some nice people to work with/for.
Cons
Year-end bonuses have disappeared for all except the higher ups, no incentive to work past your regular hours here as there is no acknowledgement, room for promotion or movement really. Company is too congested with middle and upper management, Corporate pushes large amounts of overhead work (training, podcasts, webcasts, meetings) on staff while still expecting them to meet or exceed their billable goals. Lots of eomployee burnout - only 8 stat holidays and you are lucky if you start with 2 weeks vacation. European arm of the company reaps major benefits while flying on the coattails of the US arm which does not promote project sharing. Most Middle Management and Administrative Managers are poor at best - lots of dead wood here that is allowed to stay on (many without billability goals) while intelligent, knowledgable scientists and engineers are either being let go or leave because of the toxic atmosphere promoted by "Office Managers" or "Location Leaders" in most of the offices. This company has cut overhead costs so much that one must actually 'steal' a CD so they can burn a report without the cost being passed on to the client. Too much nickel & diming going on here - too many thing being taken away while nothing is gained in return. Morale is at it's lowest.
