Pros
Remote work (but was also a con. see below).
Cons
The benefits at this place were awful. The health insurance was borderline useless, so I had to contribute to an HSA account in addition to my already expensive health insurance. The pay raises were almost nonexistent, and we never received holiday bonuses. They also had a few massive layoffs during my time there. So, keeping people is not a priority for them. Management was also very toxic, and very cliquish so it’s important that you get along with them. If they don’t like you on a personal level, you’ll be in a lot of trouble. They pick favorites and do not set you up for success. My manager changed four times, each worse than the last. When my last manager let me go, they were too much of a coward to turn their camera on and left it off, which HR allowed. The people at this company were also so rude and abrasive over email and messaging; forgetting that the person on the other end of that email was an actual human being. The COVID vacation is over. It’s time to return to the office with the rest of the world. They need to promote in-person collaboration more. Sad I lost a paycheck, but so relieved I was done with that toxic work environment. Looking forward to leaving them in the past and on to better things. This company is an absolute joke. Stay away.
