Pros
They were open to employees working remotely a couple of times a week, pre-Covid.
Cons
Andela is absolute mayhem, start to finish. The business itself is not even close to profitable for the foreseeable future, and management completely changes direction every couple of months. A lot of the people working here are misfits, it's a truly odd, hit-or-miss kind of place. There are a few superstar employees, and everyone else is mediocre at best. There is serious animosity between departments, no-one works together. Especially between Sales and Marketing - they don't work with clean data in Salesforce, so they spend most of their time arguing over who gets credit for each new deal, rather than.... you know, focusing on getting the deal. It boggles the mind... People are regularly fired en masse on the spot, and upper management is ruthless, cold as ice, and worst of all, ineffective. Leadership in Sales and Partner Experience is particularly toxic. I was SO happy to leave this toxic, awful environment, and all my colleagues who left during my time there felt the same way. If you do take a job here, prepare for lots of futile, un-strategic, disorganized work and prepare to gain some gray hairs. Once again - and I cannot emphasize this enough - believe me when I say that all the positive reviews of the US company are fake. Don’t waste your time - run.
