Water stations. Large cafeteria but no free food. Working in a large corporation that makes a positive difference. I feel like I make a difference.

New employee, so far: You have orientation day 1. Day 2 is were they will provide you the location you will be working and a trainer. I was shown how to use the equipment then we all practiced. After that we were all on our own. I person came up towards the middle of the 2nd day to tell me my numbers were low. When I asked how to improve them since I am new, he said I should "know". When I went to get water several minutes later, I saw him speaking with a lady who was in my training group. He was showing her tips on how to improve, and physically did her work; and told her he would like to see her "stick around" so her numbers must go up. Not suprised the lady quit. Some people come off creepy here. It is very cut throat. You will find great employees who work hard but some creeps and people who will come by and stare at you. They say it's because of quality control but honestly it seems like micro management and comes off as creepy. There has to be a better way without staring at someone while there bending or on a ladder. My excitement for working at Amazon has been turned into a frown . I unfortunately, now know why Amazon has a high turn over. Quantity over quality is number 1 , which is what a person in authority told me would me my success or failure. They remind you often to get numbers or you will be written up and fired. I have zero mistakes in quality but constantly verbally threatened I will be written up if my numbers do not improve. ( keep in mind I have only been hwr for 2 days! ) What they are implying that employees are just "robots" who can be easly replaced. Positive: I can say though I have the best trainer! She gives it to me straight and is very helpful, goes above and beyond for her team. Even pitches in to help you & she seems genuine and cares for people's success. Positive energy from trainer.
