Pros

good sites available, mostly responsible officers and managers. benefits offered.

Cons

benefits offered but extremely expensive, wages not current with cost of living, no raises unless the client agrees to it in their contract - which rarely happens. managers well-compensated at the expense of officers' benefits and wages. Rarely offer overtime becaus managers receive less of a bonus. Can be discriminatve towards women and OVERLY lean towards hiring ex-military. Definitely a matter of "who you know" when it comes to placement and promotion.

Pros

Once you've networked with the right people it becomes all success and excellence. Through my years of experience with Allied Universal, I was fortunate enough to work with the right accommodations and site placements. I even had a chance to demonstrate supervisor status that I never did before in private security. I think Allied Universal gives chances to anyone eager enough to try gainful employment with opportunities to prove it. One quality pro factor that Allied Universal offers is through your journey of work placements at client sites, one client site will eventually become your primary site by choice to stay permanently as a career.

Cons

Career growth is slow because Allied Universal is humongous as both a company and private corporation. Opportunities don't exist often after getting your Guard Card but if you take the opportunities as an opportunistic, you'll do fine and reach the next stages in bottom management.
