Pros

You get to interact with interesting people. Uniforms make it easy to get dressed. Some days are easy.

Cons

You often have to answer to two bosses. It can feel like you are babysitting. There exist double standards between the client and contractor. The pay is not equal to the danger you can face on any given day. Sometimes it seems as if you look at someone the wrong way you can be fired. When an idiot is in charge things get dismal. Working at night takes a toll on the body and there is no incentive to do so. Supervisors have employees that are paid up to $4 more than a given shift supervisor. Actual duties can be convoluted. Account managers appear not to care about what's happening on the ground because you never see them.

Pros

Some of the people you meet are cool and you make real good connections with the professional guards (not a lot, but i got lucky)

Cons

*Management doesn't answer their phones *Management don't want to help you address the issues onsite unless the manager of that site has an issue. *Rude and non responsive office. *Operations managers and client managers are useless. (Their assistants do a better job than they do) *The guards are not the priority to management and the company. Very childish and hostile environment. *A lack of structure, communication and support.
