Pros
Good benefits in comparison to other US companies, but terrible when you compare the benefits of Alcon employees in other countries. If Medicaid’s for all ever becomes a thing Alcon will have to work much harder to keep people in these thankless roles.
Cons
Tons of nepotism, lack of science based Covid-19 plan, and wildly varying experiences mostly due to terrible middle managers that think they’re above doing a full day’s worth of work because they have worked at Alcon for years. On the day that Texas announced smashing a coronavirus case record. The Alcon coronavirus task force team sent out an email saying that we were still on track for everyone to be 100% in office by January 4th. This is delusional, anti-science thinking will get people killed. Numerous people in customer service are in risk groups and we talk on the phones all day spewing droplets in open office cubicles. The people leading the way to go back are mgmt with offices that have doors that can close. Which I think tells you everything you need to know about Alcon’s anxiety inducting coronavirus “plan.”
