Culture has continuously declined in the past few years. Alcon always seemed to try to do the right thing in the past, and built up trust. Two rounds of layoffs in the past few years destroyed much of that trust, especially when they were preceded by big "transparency" campaigns, and assuring the sales force that it was "right-sized" for the coming years.
