Pros

- Willing to give 7% annual raise

Cons

- Not enough support for field level staff - Decision maker disconnected with field level staff - No development path for non-Spanish local staff - No professional development activities You know it isn't a company to stay when the 5-year and 10-year service awards are mostly for IT, HR and admin staff. My team was severally short-handed, and we had to do 20-hour shift on weekends for milestone yet expected to return to work on Monday. Such milestone was only there because management somehow believes it's achievable to make up for previous schedule lost and did not want to allocate additional resources. Also, all management are flying in from Spain, leaving a decision making team not familiar with local market and environment, as well as killing the progression path for local staff. They already lost a project in Vancouver because of this and clearly they did not learn the lesson.

Pros

My experience with ACCIONA has been extremely positive. Management empowers employees, providing the guidance and support needed to help you reach your full potential. Team work is greatly valued and collaboration is part of the culture. It is also great to work for a company that not only invests in its people but also has a clear and meaningful purpose - renewable energy and sustainability.

Cons

My experience has been very positive, no cons! I truly recommend ACCIONA as a great place to work.

Pros

I had great boss. My team was awesome once an individual retired. Site managers were great, I was able to travel to some really cool locations and meet some great people. The technology was involved and working through the disaster of construction and engineering taught me a lot. Acciona is a great stepping stone for entering other high paying companies in Chicago; everyone who leaves becomes a senior manager or director somewhere else.

Cons

The company operated like several separate companies. Some of the US based VPs were toxic, not familiar with industry best practices, and messed with metrics to hide facts or push blame in order to meet goals/KPIs. Very little communication between departments which made life difficult for any junior staff. Everything was urgent or a big deal - most of these items were not urgent or a big deal. There was a ton of drama amongst the senior management. I found I really could not trust anyone beyond my direct boss and group. Also, the company will not try to retain you.
