Pros

- Strong financial position – The company is well-capitalised, which is likely the only reason it has survived this long despite widespread dysfunction.

Cons

- Rampant cronyism has created a toxic network of unqualified, inexperienced and incompetent individuals occupying roles they have no business holding. - Mates hiring mates culture fosters exclusive cliques that aggressively target and undermine anyone who threatens to expose their unearned status. - Unprofessional conduct is not the exception, but the norm—management either lacks the insight or the courage to confront these internal influencers. - The workplace resembles a playground for backroom deals, misconduct and incompetence. I personally witnessed the following: - Deliberate theft of company assets disguised as stock ordering "mistakes" for personal use or resale - Repeated costly errors by unqualified staff, with no consequences - Blatant misuse of company resources, including staff running side businesses during work hours - Squandered talent, with competent professionals overlooked while incompetence is rewarded - Expert advice dismissed, as qualified consultants are undermined by underqualified subordinates - Confidentiality is non-existent — sensitive salary and internal data is freely passed around among friends across departments (notably ICT and administrative). - Internal safeguards are ignored, allowing personal relationships to override professional standards. - While field operatives working in high-risk areas are held to strict no-alcohol or drug policies, substance abuse in corporate offices is overlooked — often involving the very individuals showcased to promote a polished corporate image. - There is a clear double standard in policy enforcement, with management wilfully blind or selectively applying rules to avoid disrupting their inner circle.

Pros

My experience with ACCIONA has been extremely positive. Management empowers employees, providing the guidance and support needed to help you reach your full potential. Team work is greatly valued and collaboration is part of the culture. It is also great to work for a company that not only invests in its people but also has a clear and meaningful purpose - renewable energy and sustainability.

Cons

My experience has been very positive, no cons! I truly recommend ACCIONA as a great place to work.

Pros

I had great boss. My team was awesome once an individual retired. Site managers were great, I was able to travel to some really cool locations and meet some great people. The technology was involved and working through the disaster of construction and engineering taught me a lot. Acciona is a great stepping stone for entering other high paying companies in Chicago; everyone who leaves becomes a senior manager or director somewhere else.

Cons

The company operated like several separate companies. Some of the US based VPs were toxic, not familiar with industry best practices, and messed with metrics to hide facts or push blame in order to meet goals/KPIs. Very little communication between departments which made life difficult for any junior staff. Everything was urgent or a big deal - most of these items were not urgent or a big deal. There was a ton of drama amongst the senior management. I found I really could not trust anyone beyond my direct boss and group. Also, the company will not try to retain you.
