Pros

(1) On the basis you are brought in as an EXPERIENCED Business Manager, you develop the capability to be efficient and constantly solve ever changing problems. (2) The technical side i.e. SPL, TD, are amazing to work with.

Cons

There are far too many… (1) The job description for an experienced business manager is far too glorified than what it actually is. The real definition should (a) recruitment agent (40%), (b) call centre (25%), (c) admin problem solving (20%) (d) consultant career management (5%) and (e) business development (10%) (2) The micro management from management is unbearable i.e. how you dress, how you sit etc. (3) There is no capacity from management to coach hence one invests in themselves to truly learn the role and deliver. (4) The management is simply focused on numbers; no matter how much effort one puts to ensure the customers are satisfied. (5) The KPI’s that management expects is unreasonably high. You will be under watch if you are below these KPI’s. (6) The pressure from the above is too high for living forget work life balance. As a result the pressure is intense. Whilst the contract states 40 hours, you will end up on average with 55 hours per week. In several occasions, even a 10 mins break on a day is criminal given the KPI pressures. (7) The management at times lacks respect to their business managers and at times it’s visible that you are being judged. (8) There is no band of salary between experienced business managers and the magnitude difference between two managers of same levels is gobsmacking. (9) The base salary is indeed not enough especially if you live in London. The bonus ceiling, yes agreed is healthy though has not been achieved. The average figure provided by the hiring manager during interviews especially the finally in my opinion is questionable.

Pros

Working at this company has been a truly positive experience for me. It’s a place where I’ve been able to learn and develop my skills, and I really appreciate that they invest in my growth by paying for my certifications. I’m also involved in special projects with high added value, which has had a strong impact on my career development. What makes the biggest difference for me is the way they support me as a mom. Having the option to work remotely when needed is extremely important, and it’s something we rarely find elsewhere. I’ve never felt judged for being a mother—quite the opposite. They understand my responsibilities at home while ensuring that the client is always satisfied. This balance means a lot to me, and it makes me feel valued both as an employee and as a person. Overall, I’m truly grateful to be part of a company that invests in my future, trusts me with meaningful work, and respects my personal needs.

Cons

Due to the global economic situation, salary increases and bonuses have been impacted.
