Pros

Possible to get experience in a lot of sectors Especially good for graduates to start a career

Cons

They don't provide much training or growth despite asking for it as they promised it before signing on Communication is terrible unless you're a favourite of your business manager Can be left sitting idle for up to 6 months Refused to respond to my request of a reference letter

Thank you for you review. As a company, receiving feedback is a priority in order to ensure a long lasting development and we will continue to find ways to improve. Learning and development is at the heart of our career management processes and bringing the appropriate level of support to our employees is a top priority for us. Any training request, whether it is for the purpose of the project your are involved in or your career growth, should be discussed with your Career Manager during dedicated career follow-up meetings. Once agreed, our Training Officer would then take over and trigger the appropriate actions. In 2020, while most companies did not deliver any training due to budget restrictions in the obvious crisis context, Alten provided around 4,000 hours worth of training to its employees. For a company with less than 500 employees, I think it is fair to say that this is not “not much”. As employee satisfaction is one of our main priorities, we do collect feedback through monthly and half-yearly surveys which are the opportunity for employees to express where they see necessary improvements. I you felt that communication from your manager was not at the appropriate level, this could have been raised through these surveys, to our Career Management Advisor, or to HR, in order for us to ensure adjustments were made where necessary. Thank you again for sharing your feedback, and please rest assured that we take it into account to continuously improve our processes and our employee experience.

Pros

I have been with the company for several years and have had a very positive experience overall. The company offers strong opportunities for career growth, especially for employees who are proactive, take ownership, and consistently deliver results. Internal mobility and leadership opportunities are available for those looking to advance their careers. Compensation is competitive within the industry, and performance is generally recognized and rewarded. While there is always room for improvement, I feel that the company provides fair compensation and good opportunities to increase earnings through career progression. Management is supportive and accessible. As with any growing organization, I have found leadership to be committed to employee development and business success. There is a strong entrepreneurial culture that encourages initiative and accountability. One of the biggest strengths of the company is the variety of projects and clients. Employees have the opportunity to work across different industries, technologies, and business environments, which helps accelerate professional development and keeps the work interesting. Pros: * Strong career development opportunities * Diverse and challenging projects * Supportive and entrepreneurial culture * Exposure to a wide range of industries and clients Overall, I would recommend this company to professionals looking for growth, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Cons

Fast-paced environment that requires adaptability High expectations for performance and ownership

Pros

4+ years as a Business Manager at Alten, starting in Paris and now based in California and I have zero regrets. The career growth is real. You're given autonomy, your efforts are recognized, and the opportunities follow if you put in the work. The company has the network and the scale to open doors that others can't. Highly recommend for anyone ambitious and looking to build something long-term.

Cons

Fast-paced environment, not for everyone
