ALS Global Response
8yThank you for your comments and it is unfortunate that your employee experience of ALS as an employer was not as we endeavor it to be. We understand that not everyone has access to the information behind the rationale for business decisions as management navigated through a challenging business environment and moving laboratories in 2017; and your comments serve to highlight the importance of ongoing communication with employees and soliciting feedback. To this end, we are in the process of implementing a global engagement survey in 2018.
We also have a variety of avenues through which employees can voice concerns regarding their worksite and environment such as our integrity hotline, respectful workplace policy and our safety hazard reporting process. We encourage all employees to utilize them when they feel it is warranted.
It is true that the majority of the work we do is seasonal, which means that a certain number of employees are provided with temporary employment. We make every effort to be honest about this when hire people on so they can make the right choice for them.
H&S is a core value at ALS and our safety performance in this exceeds both industry and national averages, our Edmonton laboratory upholds these values and has been exceeding H&S expectations.
We do appreciate your feedback and will take it forward with us as we are continually looking for ways to make ALS a better place to work.
