Pros
It is a paying job and you get your salary on time -- pretty much the only positive thing I can tell.
Cons
- Old school mentality (fix work times, no or little home office possibility in IT roles, which to me means lack of trust towards the employee) - Chaotic, lack of proper project management - Some terrible managers with a strong micro-managing mindset - Blaming culture (if something goes wrong, it is always the employee's fault, management is always perfect) - Difficult to get event the simplest things done and to get answers to simple questions - Zero tolerance towards mistakes (even towards the smaller ones) - Some managers are utterly disconnected from their direct reports - Career opportunities are vague, but obviously bootlicking can help with that (if you are good at that, you might get somewhere, just like in most companies) - Uneven workload distribution between team members
