Pros

Well, it seemed like a good culture to work for?

Cons

On Friday, HR was asking me to fill out the payroll information after a recruitment process that took over a month and a half (I often had to chase down the recruitment, and then the HR teams). The contract was signed, and I had quit my former company. - Everyone I talked to was extremely junior in their roles, and it showed through the lack of interview preparation (probably a lack of internal communication). - Things seemed a bit unorganized from the get-go, but I believed in the brand so I kept on making excuses for Emma. The following Monday (4 days before my start date), I got a meeting from my prospective manager and HR saying that "due to restructuring", my role was made redundant. - Since then, radio silence from my prospective manager, team - it seemed like honestly no one cared. - They haven't even sent me the Social Security letter to qualify for unemployment benefits (it's been over a month, and I am now unemployed). They are simply too disorganized to care.

Pros

My team never gave up on me, and made me feel included; office management team is amazing.

Cons

When I was in my interview process they made sure to tell me they were hiring because they really needed someone to help the team as the workflow was growing exponentially. I was hired, and due to the necessity that they showed to have, I managed to talk to my previous company -where I had a permanent contract, about leaving sooner so I could start earlier at Emma. On the onboarding they constantly sell the One Dream One Team slogan but don’t know how to treat people from said team. After two weeks, they just let me go with the premise of workflow slowing down. In a space of a month (interview and firing me) management couldn’t predict such thing would happen? How can you hire people and then disregard them like that? It’s really a shame that you give up on people like that.
