Pros

Elon offers strong retirement and health benefits. Advancement opportunities exist for those who engage in achieving strategic goals. A great opportunity to work with a community of talented and highly engaged professionals who work endlessly to help others achieve their academic and professional goals. The campus is beautiful. The students are extraordinary.

Cons

Elon has less than 2,000 employees. A low percentage of workforce turnover makes moving into higher level positions difficult.

Pros

Elon has a great energy. Kind students that are above average. The town and surrounding area of Burlington is OK, but not an easy place to live if you're single. Elon also caters to married/partnered faculty and staff. Young unmarrieds are at a disadvantage when it comes to study abroad and tickets to stuff.

Cons

Elon has its share of bureaucracy, but what university doesn't. There's a lot of top down decisions, but the president is a good guy.
