Pros

Good people in individual departments. Lots of free food.

Cons

Upper management and HR are completely out of touch. I worked here for over 18 months and during this time, reached out to HR multiple times for change of address. They never reply to emails or phone calls. Here I am, nine months after leaving Elior, with no tax forms because they never changed my address. Bear in mind, relocation was part of accepting this job, yet they never seemed able to change my address. I was unable to receive insurance benefits during my time there because they sent the benefits election package to an address I no longer lived at. The icing on the cake was when I was given an ultimatum by HR. My son developed a chronic, life threatening illness which required my direct involvement with hospitals and doctors. I applied for FMLA protection but the hospitals/doctors were not doing their part in a timely fashion. This did not deter from the fact I had documentation which attested to my son's condition. HR blatantly told me if I miss more work, I will be considered to voluntarily resigned. I was under a lot of emotional stress and finances were already strapped, but I did not let their threats intimidate me. I gladly took my leave from this company. I have more cons but fear I will run out of space.

Avoid corporate positions at all cost

Pros

They will pay outside people very well. So if you do take a position make them pay you a lot.

Cons

It is a revolving door. Everyone blames everyone else with constant finger pointing. No one is in charge and no one will ever make a decision. There is no strategy, no goals, no discernable path forward, the company is failing and all the corporate people are blaming the people who do the actual work all while the corporate people just schedule more meetings. No project follow through because there is no direction. It is incredible divisive and hateful place with people stabbing each other in the back. Lying is common place and encouraged by the leadership team. It is shocking that Elior Group hasn't cleaned house in Charlotte! I can't believe they squandered all that acquisition capital and have run the companies into the ground.

Pros

Having a compelling story to tell and being on the cutting edge of technology and culinary innovation. Seems to have unlimited resources when a bid that makes sense comes out.

Cons

Terrible VP’s, have no moral or ethical compass, the lies and story’s that they spin makes you feel like your not worthy enough to hear the truth.
