      Pros

      Pay was decent and you had a company car, 401k, and health insurance

      Cons

      Overworked. Always on call. Management had unrealistic expectations and do not respect you or your time. The people running this company are mean and disrespectful. This job is high stress with minimal reward. They will continue to give you more and more work with no support and no increase in pay. Will have you bend rules just to get a sale. Not ethical.

      Pros

      Solid CEO. Commanding market position in most divisions. Well-positioned in water treatment applications which will continue to grow in importance and value. Strong sales culture (which is mostly good). There is a confidence and swagger within Ecolab, which is good internally but often recognized as arrogance by others (including customers).

      Cons

      Ecolab is a company that earns (and sometimes demands) your love and loyalty, but doesn't offer either in return - eventually downgrading one's loyalty into tolerance. Loyal employees are said to "bleed blue," but I watched as too many of those people were driven from the company by poor divisional leadership. Has a churn-and-burn reputation which is deserved, particularly in front-line sales/service roles and in finance.
