Pros

Flexible hours sometimes. Opportunity for advancement. Good health benefits, 401k and pension. The company is strong, and you can work your way up from the bottom.

Cons

Although the hours can be flexible at times, other times you can find yourself working 16 hour days. Sometimes you may work a full day and have to go back to work in the middle of eating dinner. Management at the local level does not have a say in anything and they do not communicate upwards. They only take orders from the corporate office and pass them down. The compensation is plan is very unfair. Everytime you get ahead a little bit, Ecolab manipulates your compensation. No one will ever listen to your complaints about money, no matter how hard you work!!

Pros

Ecolab can be very innovative. You have the ability to take ownership of your work and make informed decisions as long as you have the research to support it.

Cons

Although Ecolab has blossomed into a very successful company, many of it's processes are extremely manual. This causes unnecessary inefficiencies and extra work on already limited resources. Many people aren't able to do their best work regardless of their high level of talent because of this.

Pros

Great benefits, generous Superannuation policy, company vehicle and fuel card, fantastic co-workers, that is, the ones that you can trust once you get past the climate of fear and suspicion

Cons

Corporate arrogance flowing down from those above you that think that they know best and what the hell would you know anyway. The management team have no idea how to really listen to their workers, have a sales focus that does not seem to understand the value of their staff and customers, this company is run by bean counters that have lost touch with the real world and what customer service is. The great benefits will not be there forever, if the management style does not change, they won't have any customers soon.
