The opportunity to build your resume and use the experience to work somewhere else.

Cons

Too many to list. Extremely poor pay considering the work load, horrible treatment of territory managers, commissions are taken away and never returned, no opportunity for raises and/or cost of living increases, etc. The $750 annual salary addback is only awarded if one meets the unrealistic sales budget and even this would only equate to a $15,000 increase over 20 years!!! You will never be able to support yourself or a family adequately with this job.

Freedom to set your schedule, Lots of Benefits, your income as in most sales positions is dictated by your own actions, Very socially responsible company, always looking to support the customers, No discrimination,

Cons

It's not what you know, but who you know, you will get promoted if you perform, but you will move faster is you know the right people. Most technical positions are really 50% technical and 50% sales, and your value will be determined mostly by your sales ability. if you want to balance your personal and professional life you better become very good on the technical part of your business, otherwise you will be many hours on the field, you are expected to be available 24/7 to help your customers, but that also gives you freedom to work at your own time.
