Pros

Pay is okay if you negotiated. Some departments run lean and therefore good exposure (also lots of work). Diverse in some areas and lots of good corporate talk on inclusion and career growth (more concrete actions needed). The company recently added 6 weeks parental leave.

Cons

High turnover. Oil and gas chemicals doesn’t really make sense with the rest of Ecolab. The Your Voice Matters shows lots of dissatisfaction and company doesn’t feel compelled to fix itself. Career training and advancement is a total mystery. You will probably work long hours.

Pros

Many options to move locations or jobs within different departments, increased professional development visibility and requirements, flexible scheduling, paid parental leave, 401K and stock purchase match, competitive paid time off schedule

Cons

Very little diversity within corporate structure (and no plan to reconcile), wages are NOT competitive within the field, business model is basically buy little companies with added workload to current employees, little engagement with management unless required, questionable business practices and tax evasion within State of MN, big sponsorships at sporting events but few rewards for employees

We are always working to improve the employee experience, so we appreciate your feedback and take it seriously. At Ecolab, we believe the best teams are diverse and inclusive, and our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment starts at the top. Doug Baker, our CEO, signed the CEO Action Pledge for Diversity & Inclusion in 2017, and we continue to engage with this group. Additionally, we have formed an e-level diversity & inclusion council to build out a multi-year strategy to address the areas where we can make the biggest impact. Our goal is to ensure that differences are valued and everyone can learn, grow and make an impact. We recognize we can always improve, and we’re committed to this work for the long term. Furthermore, one of our values is that we do what is right. We take ethical concerns seriously and provide a variety of avenues for employees to confidentially share concerns so that they can be investigated.
