Pros

Independent in the field, you are trusted to perform your job in a professional and timely manner. Salary is comparable to like positions in other companies, benefits are okay, raises and bonuses are based on the economy, and they provide company car, phone, and laptop. Coworkers are great.

Cons

Erratic scheduling due to accounts when they want equipment installed and trained. Might work 14 hour days for six months then have weeks without any assignments. Layoffs aren't based on qualifications but on regional needs based on your home address even though the job travels all over the U.S.

Pros

Kodak is full of good people throughout the company. Despite the transition, there were leaders that were very optimistic about the companies future. There were also several opportunities to showcase your talent for upper level management, who for the most part were very approachable.

Cons

Unstable environment. Layoffs frequent which impacts employee morale. Unclear on the validity of current business strategy. The consumer component is being minimized by the HP imported leadership so focus is on printing. Difficult conditions make it nearly impossible to hire the right people to move forward.

Pros

Work life balance, decent benefits, casual dress, easy commute, reasonable overtime, salary was above average for the area, decent mid sized city.

Cons

Job security is rapidly decaying. Contract employment and outsource to off shore facilities is pervasive. The business case for may products is fragile.
