Pros

I worked at Assurance part, FAAS consulting, as senior: - learning of new things: different areas of finance and sectors, office politics, behavior of people - gaining a lot of contacts (also friends among the clients), you experience how the different companies operate

Cons

Overall, it's a good experience, some lessons are very tough...at the end it makes you stronger: 1. FAAS is presented as CFO consulting - it is very accounting oriented, when you want to gain experience in FP&A or controlling, consulting/transactions are better fit. I saw many times, that people had different expectations from this position, did not expect such big accounting focus. 2. Favoritism 3. Lack of managerial training, no leadership skills 4. Ratting on colleagues 5. Communication - you may get different feedback in official document compared to oral feedback. You should document everything
