Pros

The name recognition is great. People get excited when the see Ernst & Young on your resume. Most employees are happy to be there because most of the people there are accounting nerds and thatâ??s the place to be. They are over worked to a degree but they make good money and again, the name is good for your career. The pay is pretty good even for some of the more menial positions, benefits too.

Cons

Hereâ??s the REALâ?¦ if you are not in some type of accounting position you will not have a real career at Ernst & Young. So if youâ??re offered a position, be prepared to be there for a while. Your experience has a lot to do with your managerâ?¦ AND whether or not you own pearls. Yup, thatâ??s right if you are not a part of the IN crowd, meaning into pearls, college football (in the south) and or have some type of affiliation with a golf club, you will not fit in. Also, they talk a lot about work life balance, but I NEVER saw it! So be careful not to get sucked in to that flexible work life balance speech!

Pros

Very supportive environment with friendly people and great job opportunities. Able to travel and work for other locations. They are very flexible and willing to support people who need time off work for various reasons. They have great reviews which include setting goals for the coming year. The provide lots of support for people sitting their accountancy exams. Great place to work.

Cons

Not really any cons besides the occasional stocktake that must be attended on the weekend. Other than that there is nothing bad I could say about working there.
