Pros

I was hired through Adecco. They pay on time and every week. Some people are friendly. I'm lucky to have a nice department but there are individuals that ruin the nice experience. It's a good place to work if you can't find a job because they hire absolutely everyone. Of course, there are downsides to this as well. I would recommend this to a friend as a last resort but only that.

Cons

Low salary -- overworked and underpaid, no room for growth, corrupt inner-hiring system (people hire friends rather than who would do the job properly), talent is not recognized. Very frustrating when you are more intelligent than your boss. Many people at the Ewing office, at least, are not the brightest. Don't work here if you want to be challenged -- it's just repetitive busywork every day.

Pros

The money is good for ex-teachers, who may have been making much less. The employees are wonderfully diverse. The Princeton "campus" is lovely, sporting a lake.

Cons

Developing test items can become tedious after several months, and especially toward the third year. As a non-profit, ETS doesn't naturally seek efficiency. This means that employees lack modern tools, and their work may be redundant because record-keeping and process are not... standardized.

Pros

Similarly to working for a government office or educational facility, the work life style is very relaxed. there is an academic feel as if you were in a college campus. Many employees have been working there for over 15 years and more. They value their employees. A very different place to work at.

Cons

Not too much upward mobility. Tons of red tape. A lot of politics, but then again, when is there no politics. I do not hold it against them.
