Pros

Can be a congenial environment with very strong benefits that go far beyond health insurance. Lovely grounds. Fairly diverse employee population.

Cons

Some are treated unfairly -- depends on department. Lack of innovation, the impact of having a monopoly on the testing market for so long.

Pros

ETS had opportunities for overtime. There's always a celebration whether it's for veterans literacy programs or other initiatives; they encouraged giving.

Cons

Chances of becoming a permanent were slim at the time. They had quite a bit of long term proofreaders.

Pros

1. Flexible Schedule - You let them know when yiu are available to work. 2. Pay - Pay is hourly and decent for part-time work.

Cons

1. Schedule - ETS may not give you many hours at all although you provide much availability. 2. On-Going Training - On-going training is absent. They do monitor your scoring and provide some feedback depending on scoring leader. However, although the program (ONE) looks as if you have access to on-going exercises, you are not allowed to participate in the exercises. It is a facade.
